<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connector capable of stabilizing contact resistance between a plug and a receptacle by removing foreign matter present between a receptacle contact and a plug contact with reliability. <P>SOLUTION: One of the receptacle contact and the plug contact is provided with a contact projection part that projects toward the other of the contacts when the plug is inserted to or removed from an insertion groove, while the other of the receptacle contact and the plug contact is provided with a contact part with which the contact projection part comes into sliding contact when the plug is inserted to or removed from the insertion groove. The contact part is provided with a protrusion that elastically projects toward the contact projection part when the plug is inserted to or removed from the insertion groove, and at least one projection part having ends one of which is formed integrally with the protrusion, extending along the direction of insertion/removal of the plug and projecting toward the contact projection part when the plug is inserted to or removed from the insertion groove.
