<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a saw materializing safety in use and facility in use. <P>SOLUTION: This saw comprises a table, a pivot member for the table, a saw blade assembly provided to the pivot member so as to pivotally move, a saw blade journaled to the saw blade assembly, a motor for driving the saw blade, upper and lower guard pivotally provided on the saw blade assembly so as to cover upper and lower sides of the saw blade, a parallelogram lever pivotally provided on the pivot member and the upper guard, and an extending portion of the parallelogram lever cooperating with the lower guard. The extending portion engages with the lower guard to prevent pivotal movement of the saw blade assembly, and a means for releasing the lower guard is provided. The saw blade assembly pivotally moves from a stand still portion to engage the lower guard and the extending portion, thereby further releasing the lower guard. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
