PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data transfer control system capable of achieving power supply control that is highly effective in saving power; electronic equipment; and a program. SOLUTION: The data transfer control system 10 controls data transfer between a PC 1 (first electronic equipment) connected via a BUS 1 and an HDD 1000 (device) connected via a BUS 2. The data transfer control system includes a connection control part 52 that directs attachment to the BUS 1 before the power supply to the HDD 100 is turned on; a bus state monitoring part 60 that detects whether or not the BUS 1 has been reset after the attachment; and a power supply control part 90 that controls the power supply to turn on the power supply to the HDD 100 when the reset state of the BUS 1 is detected.
