PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a remote storage system using a storage device directly connected to a host computer as a primary storage area for storing data in a remote storage device system without making a change for each application or altering the inside of an operating system. SOLUTION: An initiator function of a host computer transfers a write command from an application to a virtual target function, and the virtual target function of the host computer temporarily stores data in an ordinary storage device according to the transferred write command. Then, the data temporarily stored in the ordinary storage device are read, and the write command is transferred to the initiator function. The initiator function transfers the write command from the virtual target function to the remote storage device system, and the remote storage device system stores the data according to the transferred write command.
