PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a final toner image of high resolution, high transferability and high grade on a recording medium by preventing the occurrence of image quality degradation due to a component of a toner image when a toner image consisting of a liquid developer on an image holding body is transferred onto a recording medium by using pressure and heat and to attain high speed of transferring by quickening heat transfer in the toner image. SOLUTION: The final toner image of high resolution, desired concentration and high grade having no destruction and bleeding of an image is obtained on paper P by making the majority of toner particle components of the toner image on an intermediate transfer roller 26b solid components. Further by supplying proper quantity of a solvent to a toner image at the time of secondary transferring or to a residual toner at the time of cleaning the intermediate transfer roller 26b by a 1st solvent atomizer 30 or a 2nd solvent atomizer 31, if necessary, secondary transferring from the intermediate transfer roller 26b to the paper P is obtained at high speed and with high transferring efficiency.
