PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a frequency modulation tester and a test method for performing unit evaluation test on a problem of a crystal oscillator caused by a vibrator, and to provide a crystal oscillator. SOLUTION: This frequency modulation tester for a crystal oscillator is characterized by having an evaluation board 2 mounted with the crystal oscillator and a vibrator for giving vibration to the crystal oscillator, a controller 3 for giving a prescribed vibration amount to the vibrator, and a frequency modulation measuring instrument 4 for measuring a frequency modulation output of the crystal oscillator.
