PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an endoscope with an elastic tube which is free from damage to built-in parts of the endoscope by preventing an image guide fiber and a light guide fiber from being broken even when rapid variation in pressure occurs during use. SOLUTION: In this endoscope, an elastic tube 32 is covered on the outer circumference of an image guide fiber 31. The elastic tube 32 includes a plurality of ventilation holes 33 almost uniformly set on the whole length. Thereby the elastic tube 32 covered on the outer circumference of the image guide fiber 31 is prevented from being burst by rapid variation of pressure and the image guide fiber 31 from being broken by expansion/contraction of the elastic tube 32.
