PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water treatment apparatus constituted so as to realize the continuous purification of water and capable of stably removing a large amount of a harmful organic substance with high efficiency without fundamentally replacing an adsorbent. SOLUTION: The water treatment apparatus is constituted so as to alternately perform an adsorbing process for passing water containing the harmful organic substance through an adsorbing element, which contains the adsorbent such as zeolite or the like and has a honeycomb structure subjected to water repelling treatment using a fluoroplastic or the like, to adsorb the harmful organic substance and an adsorbing process for desorbing the harmful organic substance adsorbed on the adsorbing element by passing a high temperature heated gas through the adsorbing element.
