PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel injection valve having simple construction for reducing the mixture of foreign matters into fuel without the need for machining a hole portion. SOLUTION: A fixed core 40 a movable core 50 are each different in sectional shape from a storage pipe 11. The fixed core 40 and the movable core 50 have a fuel passage 42 and a fuel passage 52 formed in a space to the storage pipe 11 on the further outer periphery sides of an outer peripheral face 40a and an outer peripheral face 50a, respectively. Thus, no need exists for forming the hole portion in each of the fixed core 40 and the movable core 50 for supplying fuel from a fuel inlet to a jet. A coil 31 is arranged adjacent to the fuel passage 42 and the fuel passage 52. The coil 31 is therefore cooled by fuel flowing in the fuel passage 42 and the fuel passage 52, producing no increase in the heating resistance of the coil 31. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
