PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a split type cylinder block of an engine keeping deformation of a cylinder bore as small as possible. SOLUTION: The cylinder block 3 is formed with being split into a cylinder liner part 20 constructing a cylinder 5 side thereof and a cylinder block main body 30 constructing an outer side wall of a water jacket with having a boundary at a section to be a water jacket formed around the cylinder 5. Partition walls 41 formed in a roughly rectangular shape are provided in parallel in a cylinder liner arrangement direction at a lower part of a cylinder connection body 21. Each partition wall 41 is provided to partition between cylinder liners 21a adjoiningly arranged and formed to extend vertically upward from a lower end of the cylinder connection body 21.
