PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide technology suppressing deterioration of a catalyst and providing feeling of great deceleration in an internal combustion engine performing fuel cut. SOLUTION: This device is provided with a fuel cut execution means executing fuel cut when an operation condition of the internal combustion engine including a plurality of cylinders is in a predetermined operation condition, a fuel cut prohibition means prohibiting fuel cut by the fuel cut execution means when temperature of a catalyst provided in an exhaust system of the internal combustion engine is high in spite of the predetermined operation condition, and an ignition timing control means retarding ignition timing of one cylinder of the plurality of cylinders when the fuel cut prohibition means prohibits fuel cut and retarding ignition timing of other cylinders when misfire does not occur in one cylinder.
