FLOOR MATERIAL AND ITS MANUFACTURING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a floor material and a method of manufacturing the floor material hardly causing a crack even if used with a heating means of an electric carpet or the like. SOLUTION: The method of manufacturing the floor material 7 has a sticking process (A) for sticking a veneer 2 onto a rectangular plywood 1 having a wood grain direction of a surface layer in a longitudinal direction, while adjusting the wood grain direction of the veneer 2 to the wood grain direction of the surface layer of the plywood 1; a moisture content lowering process (B) for lowering the moisture content of an uncoated floor material 4 to initiate cracks 3 in the surface of the veneer 2; a polishing process (C) for polishing and smoothing the surface of the veneer 2 with the cracks 3 initiated; and a coating process (D) for applying surface coating to the smoothed surface of the veneer 2 to obtain the floor material 7.
