PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inorganic adhesive which has the same or larger adhesive strength as or than that of an organic adhesive and has excellent heat resistance and airtightness, and to provide a method for producing the same. SOLUTION: Inorganic powder 12 as the main material of an adhesive 10 is deformed into fine particles on whose surfaces unevenness 12a and cracks 12b are formed, whereby the filling rate of the inorganic powder 12 per unit volume can be improved, when the adhesive 10 is solidified. Additionally, the contacting inorganic powder 12 can strongly be engaged with each other by an anchor effect, and the adhesive strength can be improved to a degree equivalent to or larger than that of an organic adhesive. Further, the inorganic powder 12 is processed into a colloid-like state. Thereby, the handleability of the inorganic adhesive 10 can be improved, and the airtightness can preferably be improved.
