RUBBER COMPOSITION AND TIRE USING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rubber composition improving the abrasion resistance and grip performances in a well-balanced state in a tire tread rubber composition and to provide a tire using the rubber composition. SOLUTION: The rubber composition comprises an aromatic vinyl-conjugated diene copolymer in an amount of 10-200 pts. wt. based on 100 pts. wt. of a rubber component containing≥40 wt.% of a styrene-butadiene copolymer. The weight-average molecular weight of the styrene-butadiene copolymer is 5.0×105to 2.5×106and the styrene content is 10-60 wt.%. The aromatic vinyl-conjugated diene copolymer is prepared by epoxidizing a low-molecular weight aromatic vinyl-conjugated diene copolymer having 20-70% content of bound vinyl in a conjugated diene moiety. The weight-average molecular weight of the styrene-butadiene copolymer is 1.0×103to 1.0×105and the aromatic vinyl content is 10-75 wt.%. The epoxidation ratio of the copolymer is 3-60%.
