Coated composite proppant particles made of particulate substrates having an elastomeric coating are provided for use in reducing particulate flowback in subterranean formations. The disclosed proppant particles can have a coating of resin, fibrous materials, and/or solute e resin coatings in addition to an elastomeric coating. Methods of making the coated particles are a so described, as well as their use in subterranean formations.
