A blind device (1) comprises a plurality of slats (3) disposed so as to provide glare protection and blindfold for the window (2) of a building and arranged side by side, a link mechanism (4) which connects the plurality of slats (3) to each other, an elevating mechanism (5) for raising the plurality of slats (3) from the lowermost slat (3) in an A-direction and lowering them from the lowermost slat (3) in a B-direction, a tilting mechanism (6) for tilting the plurality of slats (3) in an R1-direction in synchronism with the raising and lowering of the stats (3) in the A-direction and B-direction, and a holding means (7) for holding the stats (3) in such a manner as to prevent the slats (3) from swinging in a horizontal plane.
