<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce an excessive or insufficient amount of voltage adjustment in a voltage compensation system and a voltage compensation device that compensates a variation in compensated voltage such as a system voltage by outputting a voltage by combining a plurality of inverters in series. <P>SOLUTION: The voltage compensation system selectively actuates the plurality of inverters 5 to 7 that the connected in series and generate AC voltages by using DC power accumulated in energy accumulation means 8 to 10, in accordance with the magnitude of a voltage V4 that is a difference between a system voltage V1 in a power system and a target output voltage Vs, and outputs an output voltage V3 that is obtained by adding a compensation voltage V2 generated by the selective actuation of the inverters to the system voltage V1.
