<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control a motor so as to maintain a constant rotational speed of a drive shaft for running a printed medium, prevent a density irregularity in a print result, and improve the image quality. <P>SOLUTION: A running apparatus comprises a capstan 14d rotated by a drive force transmitted from a stepping motor 21 through a transmission mechanism 20a and running a printed sheet 2, an encoder 35 provided in the capstan 14d and detecting the rotational speed of the drive shaft, and a control section 42 for controlling the stepping motor 21. The control section 42 has a Kalman filter 42a and a moving-average circuit 42b, extracts a speed fluctuation component of the capstan 14d, and drives and controls the stepping motor 21 so as to maintain the constant rotational speed of the capstan 14d on the basis of the detected speed fluctuation component. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
