PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image data processor and an image data processing method capable of improving operability at the time of reading and storing a plurality of originals in different formats for a single page and multiple pages. SOLUTION: When image data obtained by reading an original by a scanner is stored as a file, a format for the file and a selection file for adding the image data are set. If the original is read in a multi-page format, the image data is added to the selection file and the format of the selection file is stored as a multi-page.
