PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To objectively search how far the input error of information digits can be discovered according to check digits. SOLUTION: This error detection deterioration deriving device is provided with a first basic inspection digit deriving part 24 for deriving a first basic inspection digit CDV1 based on an authentic information digit X, a first derived inspection digit deriving part 27 for deriving a first derived inspection digit CDV2(=CDV1+α) different from the first basic inspection digit CDV1, a second basic inspection digit deriving part 34 for deriving a second basic inspection digit CDV1' by the same method as the first basic inspection digit deriving part 24 based on error information digit Xem generating a transposition error or double transposition error in the authentic information digit X, a second derived inspection digit deriving part 37 for deriving a second derived inspection digit CDV2'(=CDV1'+α) different from the second basic inspection digit CDV1' by the same method as the first derived inspection digit deriving part 27 and a first error detection deterioration number counter 44 for counting the number of times how many the first basic inspection digit CDV1 is made equal to the second derived inspection digit CDV2'.
