PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical zoom apparatus that realizes less power consumption, is slim in size and operates in a stable manner. SOLUTION: The optical zoom apparatus includes a plurality of lenses; a lens housing for retaining the plurality of lenses; a first magnetic body arranged adjacently to the lens housing; a second magnetic body arranged adjacently in the lens housing along a movement axis while being spaced from the 1st magnetic body; and a movement means arranged between the first and the second magnetic bodies to move the lens housing back and forth along the movement axis as an electric current is applied.
