PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display panel inspection device and its inspection method capable of reducing a facility cost remarkably and shortening an inspection time. SOLUTION: The inspection device comprises an image measurement section 10 for acquiring image measurement data by lighting each display panel (workpiece) according to a test signal and photographing an image of the lighted display panel, a data accumulation section 20 capable of accumulating these image measurement data for a plurality of display panels as data corresponding to each display panel, and a data processing section 30 for performing quality judgment of each display panel by individually reading out the accumulated image measurement data accumulated in the accumulation section 20 and performing image processing. On the occasion of inspection processing of the plurality of display panels, the measurement section 10 and the processing section 30 perform the inspection processing independently. The measurement section 10 outputs identification data for identifying each display panel being a measurement object and these image measurement data to the accumulation section 20, and the accumulation section 20 constructs a database for managing the identification data and image measurement data corresponding to the data.
