PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printer capable of easily adjusting a gap between a dot head and a platen head, through which printing paper passes. SOLUTION: This printer is equipped with a dot head which is equipped with a printing wire, a platen head which is arranged in an opposed manner at a predetermined interval between the dot head and the platen head, and an operating device for operating the printing wire. The printer for printing various kinds of pieces of information on the backside of a print created by a printing processor is characterized as follows: the dot head and the operating device are constituted as one unit; the printing unit is fixed to the machine body side of the print processor; the platen head is mounted on the machine body side via a positioning mechanism; and the positioning mechanism comprises a platen head holder for holding the platen head, and an operation body for making the platen head holder screw-advance/screw-recede with respect to the dot head, so that the gap between the platen head and the dot head can be adjusted by making the platen head holder screw-advance/screw-recede with respect to the dot head through the rotational operation of the operation body.
