<p>In a system using a magnetic card based on the online authentication, an IC chip having biometric data and a personal identification number recorded therein is mounted on a magnetic stripe card. The personal identification number can be automatically transmitted merely by performing a biometric authentication. By making a change for the system not in the host computer system but in the ATM terminal, biometric authentication services using the IC chip of a high level of security can be provided. Moreover, the user is not troubled by inputting the personal identification number so that the convenience is improved to promote the efficient run of the ATM apparatus.</p>
