<p>A communication control unit (20) for a vending machine, the vending machine comprising a central controller, at least one peripheral element (12, 32) and means capable of receiving external instructions, wherein the communication control unit (20) is connected to these components. The communication control unit (20) is capable of connecting alternately the at least one peripheral element (12, 32) or a virtual peripheral element (12V, 32V) simulating the peripheral element (12, 32) to the central controller, wherein the communication control unit (20) is at least partially controlled externally. The invention also relates to a vending machine comprising the communication control unit (20) and a communication system based on these vending machines. The invention can be preferably used with Coca-Cola VENDO machines. In preferred embodiments, safe wireless communication is used and digital content can be generated in an interactive way.</p> |
