PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic tire, capable of reducing tire noise, while securing anti-stone biting performance and wet performance. SOLUTION: On a groove bottom of a circumferential groove 1 provided in a tread in this pneumatic tire, a plurality of projections 6 are provided in parallel in the tire circumferential direction. The projections 6 are disposed in such a way that non-projection parts 7 in the groove bottom surface are continuous in the tire circumferential direction, and in such a way that (β/α)≤15 is satisfied, when standard deviation of area variation of the non-projection parts 7 in the tire circumferential direction is assumedα, and standard deviation of area variation of the non-projection parts 7 in a groove width direction is assumedβ. More specifically, the projections 6 are disposed in such a way that they are deflected right and left alternately to a width center line of the circumferential groove to have overlapped parts between adjoining projections in the groove width direction while having no overlapped parts in the tire circumferential direction.
