PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an active matrix type display device which can prevent the discharge of moisture from an organic insulating film with an easy structure. SOLUTION: The active matrix type display device is equipped with the organic insulating film 4 including a contact hole 4a for performing electrical connection to a TFT 2 and a pixel metal electrode 7a formed at least in part of the surface 4 of the organic insulating film 4.
