摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a measuring instrument for quickly measuring the shape of a cylindrical object to be measured to find the maximum principal stress axis in a horizontal plane with high accuracy. SOLUTION: This laser interference-type measuring instrument is equipped with a circumferentially rotatable sample holder 12 for supporting a cylindrical rock core 11 as a measuring specimen, a knife edge 13 movable in the radial direction of the rock core 11, a laser light source 15 for outputting laser light through a slit 14 formed between a side face of the rock core 11 and the knife edge 13, and a CCD 16 for measuring an interference fringe of the laser light passing through the slit 14.
