PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorption refrigerator capable of simply detecting dissolved oxygen concentration in an absorbing solution. SOLUTION: In relation to an absorption refrigerator equipped with at least a regenerator 2, a condenser 3, an evaporator 4, an absorber 5 and a pump 7, using water as a refrigerant, using, as an absorbing solution, a lithium bromide aqueous solution containing an inhibitor comprising an inorganic oxyacid salt and an alkaline metal hydroxide, and operating below normal atmospheric pressure, the above problem is solved by this absorption refrigerator which is provided with a dissolved oxygen detection means 14 for detecting the dissolved oxygen concentration in the absorbing solution and in which the dissolved oxygen detection means 14 is composed of an oxide electrode 15 and a reference electrode 16 installed so as to be immersed in the absorbing solution in the absorber 5, and a potential measuring instrument 17 for measuring a potential difference generated between the oxide electrode 15 and the reference electrode 16 according to the dissolved oxygen concentration in the absorbing solution.
