PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To mount an exhaust system component for an internal combustion engine, such as an exhaust manifold in which exhaust gas flows, on a vertically extending mounting face such as the side face of a cylinder head with a plurality of bolts which are protruded on the mounting face to be inserted through bolt holes of the exhaust system component and nuts to be threaded to the front ends of the bolts, while improving mounting work efficiency. SOLUTION: On a root portion of at least one of bolts 10, 11, a non-screwed portion 25 is provided which has an outer diameter equal to or larger than an outer diameter d of one of male screws 10a, 11a of the bolts, while one of bolt holes 20a', 21a' of the exhaust system component through which one bolt is inserted has an inner diameter D to be fitted to the non-screwed portion and a screw groove 26 is provided in the inner face for engaging with the male screw of one bolt.
