PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a metal soft magnetic core material used for various electromagnetic circuit components such as an actuator and a yoke. SOLUTION: In the method where a silicate solution is infiltrated into the surface of soft magnetic metal powder, is thereafter stirred and dried, is compacted, and is fired, so as to produce metal soft magnetic core material, the silicate solution is obtained by adding water and acid for promoting reaction to an alcohol-diluted solution of alkoxysilane, and thereafter adding ammonia thereto, so as to control its pH to≥3, and viscosity to 1 to 10 mPa s.
