PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of carrying a shaft for storage capable of eliminating the need of manually carrying the shaft for storage for storing a roll-like object and also capable of eliminating the need of securing a stock space for the shaft for storage and an automatic guided vehicle for the method in an automatic guided system for the roll-like object. SOLUTION: The shaft S for storage is carried to the storage place of a storage apparatus such as an automated warehouse by the automated guided vehicle 10 by transferring the shaft for storage not required when the roll-like object R is set in a treatment device such as an unwinder from the inside of a core C of the roll-like object R to the automatic guided vehicle 10.
