PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat-resistant thioredoxin, a heat-resistant thioredoxin reductase and a heat-resistant thioredoxin peroxidase, and a DNA encoding these enzymes.
SOLUTION: A thioredoxin, a thioredoxin reductase and a thioredoxin peroxidase are isolated from an ultra-thermophilic archaebacterium, Aeropyrum pernix, capable of growing at such high temperatures of 90-100°C and their amino acid sequences and DNA sequences are determined. These proteins or enzymes are highly excellent in heat resistance and excellent in stability at room temperature. And they have organic solvent-resistance. Since the thioredoxin and the like described in the invention have high heat resistance, a reaction is efficiently performed at a high temperature and besides sterilization by heat can be performed when the thioredoxin and the like are added into pharmaceutical drugs, foods, cosmetics and the like.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
