<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a timing apparatus etc., capable of properly correcting the time of every athlete. <P>SOLUTION: The receiving unit 32 receives the reference time (e.g. running time, present time etc.) transmitted from a transmitter arranged at the timing spot. The time correction unit 33 determines the justification of the reference time received by the receiver unit 32. If the justification of the reference time is determined, the time correction unit 33 corrects the time which is timed by the timing unit 34 according to this reference time. The time specification unit 37 specifies the time timed by the timing unit 34 as the measured time.
