PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an anchor nut of novel structure and a building reinforcing structure of novel structure using the anchor nut capable of firmly mounting a connecting rod to a building structure and minimizing adverse effect such as cracking on the building structure and facilitating its mounting work, and to provide a construction method for realizing such a building reinforcing structure. SOLUTION: The anchor nut 22 provided with an operating part 42 at least at one end face in an axial direction and having almost constant outer peripheral surface shape of block structure, is formed with a threaded hole 40 passing through in a right-angled direction to the axis. Such an anchor nut 22 is mounted to each of circular mounting holes 36a-d formed in a frame structure 18, while the end of a reinforcing member 20 is screwed into the threaded hole 40 formed in the anchor nut 22, to fix the reinforcing member 20 to a structure.
