PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power tool having excellent workability, and easiness in attaching and removing batteries, and also having a hook part featuring great operability. SOLUTION: The power tool is designed to position a stoppage member 16 at a point adjacent to a coated part 1c. Because the stoppage member is accordingly fixed at the point adjoining the coated part above the batteries, the member hardly overlaps the control part formed on the side of the batteries, so that the operation of the control part will not be prevented.
