PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tool for detaching an E-shape snap ring, which detach the E-shape snap ring for itself without dispersing the E-shape snap ring, and easily stores the E-shape snap rings. SOLUTION: A guide cover portion 10 is provided on the holder 1 of the tool for detaching the E-shape snap ring. A box 11 for storing the removed E-shape snap ring is detachably attached to the guide cover portion 10 as a whole. The inside of the box 11 is partitioned into a plurality of receiving chambers 11a in order to store the E-shape snap rings for every size. A drop preventing stopper 12 is detachably attached on the top surface of the box 11. The drop preventing stopper 12 has a stopper portion 12a on its tip end. The detached E-shape snap rings are introduced into the box 11 by means of a slanting surface portion 12b connected to the stopper portion 12a and a base portion 12d.
