PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an apparatus for forming a laminated food material by stacking a plurality of food materials and rolling to form a laminated material web, having a compact and simple structure and capable of stably forming a laminated material web. SOLUTION: The forming apparatus is provided with a hopper part 3 to hold large lumps of multiple kinds of food materials into individual holding chambers divided from each other with partition plates in a hopper 31, a material cutting part to cut and divide the food material to a prescribed length at the lower opening of the hopper to form divided food materials having nearly uniform volume, a material-carrying in part 5 to successively stack the divided food materials and transport to the following material rolling part, the material rolling part 4 to form the divided and stacked food materials to a laminated food material web having a nearly constant thickness, a transfer conveyor 51 to transfer the laminated food material to the next step, and a controller 8 to control the motion of each part.
