The device has an inserting sleeve (23) fixed to a drive belt (5) that is oriented crosswise in a circulating direction. An intermediate unit (22) has a pin type belt fastening section (24) for inserting in to the sleeve, so that a free longitudinal section (48) of the intermediate unit remains for deformation. The belt fastening section and the sleeve are adjusted to a plug connection rotary form-fit around their longitudinal axis.
