<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a copying machine provided with a function of automatically deleting only an image or character part added to an original and of copying the original. <P>SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus includes a read means for reading an image to convert it to an electric signal, a handwritten image recognition means for recognizing a handwritten image out of the read image, and an image forming means for forming an image of copy data of the image on the basis of the electric signal. The handwritten image recognition means judges an image having a recognition rate equal to or higher than a prescribed value to be not a handwritten image and judges an image having a recognition rate lower than the prescribed value to be a handwritten image. and read data read by the read means is assigned as copy data to an image judged to be not a handwritten image, out of the read image and the image judged to be not a handwritten image is copied as it is, and read data read by the read means is erased from an image judged to be a handwritten image, out of the read image and the image judged to be a handwritten image is not copied. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
