PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform white balance adjustment accommodated to human visual characteristics, accommodated to the appearance of the colors by original light source classification and the appearance colors, after chromatic adaptation. SOLUTION: Color information, concerning the light source classification under an actual photography state, is calculated based on R, G, B signals to be acquired via an imaging device, and corresponding color temperature is calculated from the color information (steps S10, S12). Color information according to a degree of color adaptation between color information on a blackbody locus, corresponding to the calculated color temperature and color information after complete adaptation, is set as a target value (steps S16 to S22). Then, white balance correction values with respect to the R, G, B signals are determined based on the calculated color information and the set target value and the white balance adjustment of the R, G, B signals is performed, based on the determined white balance correction values (steps S24, S26).
