PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mobile communication system eliminating the need for a dedicated repeater, reducing the cost of a system as a whole, surely performing a repeat processing and suppressing the occurrence of a useless repeat processing. SOLUTION: In an inter-vehicle communication system comprising a plurality of wireless communication units mounted on vehicles and performing wireless communication with each other, the wireless communication unit repeats communication data by transmitting the communication data to other wireless communication unit presumed to be located in its own wireless communication area when performing the actual repeat processing when the wireless communication unit of communication partner is not located in its own wireless communication area.
