PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a foldable cellular phone which is easily brought from a folded state to an opened state by only one hand. SOLUTION: The foldable cellular phone (1) consists of a first case (11), a second case (12) and a hinge (13), for freely rotatably connecting these. The cellular phone (1) is used by grasping the first case (11) when the cellular phone is opened. A recess (21) to a side surface is provided on a portion positioned near a thumb, of the front surface of the first case (11), and a recess (31) to the side surface is provided on a portion opposing the recess (21) in the state where the cellular phone is folded, of the front surface of the second case (12). In the state where the cellular phone is folded, a hole having an opening on the side surface is formed by the recesses (21, 31), and the tip of the thumb is inserted into the hole to enable bringing the cellular phone into an opened state.
