SHIELDING LID FOR CONCRETE-MADE STORAGE FACILITY

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve an efficiency in the exhaust of cooled air especially as to a concrete-made storage facility (cask) to store cylindrical metal canisters accommodating radioactive substances. SOLUTION: A shielding lid is used for the concrete facility which has a cylindrical storage section to store the cylindrical metal canisters 25 accommodating radioactive substances and has a structure that allows cooling air to be sucked from a lower suction port 34 of the storage section by natural convection and forces cooled air to be exhausted outside from an upper exhaust port by way of a cooling flow channel around the metal canisters 25 accommodated in the storage section. The lid is constituted by placing at plural points exhaust holes 27 to exhaust the cooled air upward from the cooling flow channel 26 around the metal canisters 25 and by locating plural bar-shaped shields 28 for each of the exhaust holes 27 in the points so that they cannot be seen through in the direction of the openings of the exhaust holes 27.
