PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To determine accurately propriety of the coolant amount filled in a coolant circuit, and to detect whether the coolant in the coolant circuit leaks to the outside by an unexpected cause or not, in an air conditioner wherein a heat source unit is connected to a utilization unit through a coolant connection pipe. SOLUTION: This air conditioner 1 is equipped with a manual switch for performing a switching operation between a normal operation mode for controlling each equipment corresponding to an operation load of the utilization units 4, 5 and a coolant amount determination operation mode for determining the propriety of the coolant amount filled in the coolant circuit 10 by detecting the operation state quantity of the coolant flowing in the coolant circuit 10 or each equipment in the heat source unit 2 and the utilization units 4, 5.
