METHOD OF REDUCING NOISE IN BAND SAW MACHINE AND BAND SAW MACHINE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of effectively reducing the noise caused by the vertical vibration of a band saw blade in the cutting process of the work, and also to provide a band saw machine thereof. SOLUTION: The method for reducing the noise is for reducing the noise caused by the vertical vibration of the band saw blade 13 at the time of the cutting process of the work W by the band saw machine 1. The noise caused by the vertical vibration of the band saw blade 13 is reduced by converting the rotation speed of the band saw blade 13 to vibration by drastically increasing/reducing the speed of the band saw blade 13. The drastic increase/reduction of the speed of the band saw blade 13 is executed by applying rectangular pulses to a control motor 35 for rotating/driving the band saw blade 13. A proper frequency is found by adjusting the frequency of the rectangular pulses applied to the control motor 35, and rectangular pulses with the found proper frequency are applied to the control motor 35.
