PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an endoscope which can reduce the influence of noise caused by drive signals and is easily adaptable even to solid-state image pickup elements different in kinds. SOLUTION: A signal connector 12b in the endoscope 2 incorporated with a CCD (charge coupled device) 6 is provided with a connector board 17, on which a drive circuit 19 for generating the drive signals for driving the CCD 6 is mounted therein. Also, the connector board 17 is provided with a signal pattern 27, which is made away from the drive circuit 19 so as to prevent the drive signals from being mixed as the noise and transmits the output signals of the CCD 6.
