PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for picking up droppings with removing uncomfortable feeling given to a person by simply and sanitarily treating droppings during taking a walk with a pet such as a dog or the like. SOLUTION: In the device constituted to simply and sanitarily collecting droppings, a handle 2 formed with a handgrip unit 1 on the upper part is slidably connected to an upper frame 3b, the handle 2 is rotatively connected to a lower frame 3a, and both the upper frame and the lower frame are rotatively connected. When the hand grip unit 1 is vertical to the ground surface, the upper frame 3b and the lower frame 3a are closed by their own weight. When the hand grip unit 1 is inclined to be parallel to the ground surface by pressing the lower frame 3a to the ground surface, the upper frame 3b and the lower frame 3a are open.
