PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To transact two or more items only by owning one magnetic card for a multi-item bankbook by inputting the stripe data of one magnetic card and the bar code data of the bankbook, checking both the data and permitting the transaction when there is consistency between both the data. SOLUTION: When a magnetic card 20 is set to an automatic teller machine, the data of magnetic card stripes 201 on the magnetic card 20 are read by a magnetic card read mechanism. Item code data are extracted from the read data of magnetic card stripes 201 and set as 'MC item'. Further, selected bankbook magnetic stripes 212 are read by a bankbook magnetic stripe read mechanism, and subject code data are extracted from the data of read bankbook magnetic stripes 212 and set as 'MS item'. Next, consistency between 'MC item' and 'MS item' is checked and when there is consistency, the item set to the 'MS item' is transacted. |
