A method for processing the warning in the centralized network management system and the centralized network management system enable multiple network units of different version of the same type to be managed uniformly and synchronously in the same centralized network management system. It can treat and process the warning data of different version separately and exactly and ensure to be backward compatible. The theory of the present invention is that the warning data collected from the network units is transformed by adding a mapping table between the identifications of the network units warning and the network warning in the collection units which receives the warning from the network units, the network warning corresponding to the network units warning is transmitted to the network management system and is processed by the network management system according to the network warning.
